DTE Title History is designed to provide secure mobile access to title-management information associated with DealerTitleEasy.
DTE Title History is a mobile companion application for DealerTitleEasy. The application allows authorized users to access vehicle and title-related information associated with their organization and assigned dealership branches.
The application is intended for business and operational use by authorized DealerTitleEasy customers and users.
DTE Title History processes only the information necessary to authenticate users, display title-management information, and provide the features available within the application.
This may include:
Users must authenticate using credentials associated with their DealerTitleEasy account.
Authentication tokens may be stored securely on the device using platform-provided secure storage mechanisms so that the app can maintain an authenticated session.
If the user enables a "Remember Me" or biometric-login option, information necessary to support that functionality may be stored securely on the device.
DTE Title History may allow users to enable Face ID, fingerprint, or another biometric authentication method supported by the device.
DTE Title History does not receive, collect, or store the user's biometric data. Biometric verification is performed by the device's operating system.
The application only receives the result indicating whether the authentication attempt was successful.
Camera access may be requested so users can scan VIN barcodes directly from vehicles or vehicle-related documents.
The camera is used only to identify and process the barcode or VIN necessary for the requested application feature.
DTE Title History does not continuously record camera activity and does not use the camera for advertising, profiling, or unrelated purposes.
Vehicle and title data displayed by DTE Title History is associated with DealerTitleEasy records accessible to the authenticated user and the user's authorized branch or organization.
This information may include operational records regarding title receipt, title availability, transfers between branches, title documents, title history, and related vehicle information.
When available and authorized, the application may allow users to access title documents, title reports, or other PDF documents associated with a vehicle.
Access to these records is limited according to the authenticated user's account permissions and the underlying DealerTitleEasy records.
DTE Title History may store limited application preferences and authentication information locally on the user's device.
Sensitive authentication information is stored using secure storage facilities provided by the operating system whenever applicable.
Vehicle and title information is primarily retrieved from DealerTitleEasy services as needed by the application.
Reasonable administrative, technical, and platform-level safeguards are used to protect information accessed through DTE Title History.
These safeguards may include secure authentication, encrypted network communications, secure device storage, and access controls tied to authenticated user accounts.
No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but reasonable measures are used to reduce unauthorized access and disclosure risks.
DTE Title History does not sell personal information or vehicle/title information obtained through the application.
Information may be processed by systems and service providers necessary to operate DealerTitleEasy and DTE Title History, including infrastructure used to authenticate users, deliver application data, and securely store authorized documents.
Information may also be disclosed where required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request.
DTE Title History may rely on third-party technology or infrastructure providers to support application functionality, secure communications, document delivery, hosting, or operating-system services.
These providers may process limited information only as necessary to provide the applicable service.
DTE Title History is not designed as an advertising-supported application.
We do not use vehicle, title, biometric, or VIN information for targeted advertising.
DTE Title History does not require continuous location tracking for its core title-history functionality.
If future features require location access, the application will request the appropriate operating-system permission and will explain the purpose of that access before it is used.
Application information is retained according to DealerTitleEasy business requirements, customer-account requirements, and applicable legal or operational obligations.
Local authentication information or application preferences may be removed when the user signs out, removes stored credentials, or uninstalls the application, subject to operating-system behavior.

DTE Title History is a business application and is not intended for use by children.
We do not knowingly design or market the application for children under the age required by applicable privacy laws.
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in DTE Title History, DealerTitleEasy services, security practices, legal requirements, or application functionality.
